Lyn Bio:
Lyn Bright-Blue, 28 and a lifelong resident of tiny Sunshine, Texas, is prickly, profane, and opinionated.  She keeps people at a distance, because she hates when she gets hunches about folks.  Better to keep to herself, than end up like her mother...  Lyn feels suffocated in her marriage to her inattentive high school sweetheart and her job working at his dad's rundown motel, The Blue Top.  But, Lyn believes her fate is sealed, and she can't do a damn thing to change it.  Don't argue!  She's got her reasons...

Bob Bio:
Bob Brown, 37, lands in towns for spells, and lives in his car a lot.  He's earnest, likable, and sweet-natured, so he picks up odd jobs wherever he lands.  But, he's also easily distracted and totally unreliable, so he loses them just as easily.  He's got a (secret) past he can't change, but he's determined to make up for it by manifesting a tremendously successful future as a best-selling author of Self-Help books!  Or, by winning Lotto.

Lyn's dad. He's fire to Marilyn's air.  Doesn't know how to deal with hurt, so he tries to ignore it.

Johnny Pott - 23, dark shoulder-length hair, lanky, doesn't mind comparisons to Shaggy from Scooby Doo
Lyn’s best bud, Blue Top Motel co-worker, and aspiring (recreational) agriculturist.  Watch out.  He’s smarter than he looks.

Marge Luedtke - 50s, gray hair, slight build but earthy presence, happy to be a Cat Lady
Lyn’s single, older neighbor. She rehabilitates animals, but her biggest project isn’t an animal at all.

Cassie Means -  33, brunette, gymnast figure, doesn't know "mom jeans" are a fashion no-no
Lyn’s best gal pal, who works in the medical field and loves children.  She has two kids, herself, and believes Lyn will finally come to her senses when she gives in and has a baby!

Tom Blue - 29, sandy hair, athlete's body, boyish good looks
Lyn’s husband, AKA: Lyn’s "log," and workaholic who finds comfort in his routines.  Married to Lyn since high school.   He thinks he knows what he wants, and who his friends are.  But, he purposely doesn't dig too deep.
