Why not go for your dream?
Wed, 09/08/2010 - 23:23

Howdy friends,
I hope this finds you somewhere warm, and happy, doing something you value and love. But just in case it doesn't, remember that it doesn't have to be permanent!
What projects are you working on?
Thu, 08/19/2010 - 21:10

Lorie and I had a conversation recently about continuing to produce work, while waiting on Sunshine's magic to manifest. :)
Sure, there are many projects we upkeep and creatively continue to entertain weekly/monthly (i.e. character blogs, social media, Sunny Side Up episodes) with LIS, but we aren't shooting it - YET.
Visualization Works!

I'm so happy right now.. I have to share my happiness with you!
What's in it for you?
Wed, 08/04/2010 - 03:14

Have you ever been working away on a project, then suddenly asked yourself, "What's really in this for me?"
Experience? Pleasure? Money? Credit? Exposure? Status? Fame? The Challenge? The Game? Friendships?
What is Spiritual Cinema all about?
Wed, 07/28/2010 - 23:18

According to Stephen Simon, co-founder of Spiritual Cinema Circle, Spiritual Cinema (movies) do three things: 1) Awaken your sense of joy and wonder. 2) Inspire love and compassion 3) Evoke a deeper sense of connection with the universe around you.
Marching On With Hope
Mon, 07/12/2010 - 21:50

With all the unanswered questions floating around, and the clock ticking for our fall shoot deadline, (i.e., when (exactly) can we make the film, how will our financing (continue to) manifest itself, and how will I contain myself when it does?) I find myself reflecting on the last couple of years, this process, and how lucky I am to be living and making movies in this town.
Lyn's Ride!
Wed, 06/30/2010 - 23:34

WOWWEE! That's all I can keep thinking. Lyn's car is finished! It was just repainted BLUE, and man, is it a beauty!
Big thanks to our fab art director, Ia, who's agreed to let us use her scout in our movie. It'll be Lyn's car, which they (Lyn and Bob) take their roadtrip in.
The vehicle isn't just a vehicle to me. It's a character. It lives and breathes life with Lyn and Bob... and it is literally the vehicle that takes them on their journey towards self discovery... so it has to represent. :)
And I think it does!
Timing
Wed, 06/16/2010 - 20:03

Everything in life depends on timing. It's hard to know, if at a certain present time, the timing is in fact — right on. I've had moments in the past where I thought that everything was perfect to move forward with LIS in a certain department, but it proved me wrong. Film life has its own cadence. And clearer than clear, it will let you know when the timing is Right.
The Right Actor
Sat, 06/05/2010 - 23:03

I've spoken about my in-depth love and respect for actors before, yet they still have a way of pleasantly surprising me. Last week, we found our leading man, Bob, and I couldn't be more excited. He was referred to us by Mark Duplass, (The Puffy Chair, Cyrus) someone I admire and respect very much as an indie filmmaker and actor.
Life with Film
Thu, 05/27/2010 - 20:26

This week, I've learned a lot from doing little side jobs, particularly babysitting. As a filmmaker, our jobs are limitless. There is no line that we must stay behind. No job we must not try. No theory we must not entertain.
For me, a colorful, down-to-earth life, with people I adore, plays the biggest role in my contribution.
