Yep, it's true. I saw him this weekend at our motel. He came in wearing a suit and pink tie, with his gray hair pulled back in a ponytail. We had some country infused salsa music playing in the background and all of a sudden... he started dancing. But he was dancing like a 90's new wave guy having a heart attack. Scary... but interesting.
My log (aka my husband, Tom) was working late, so I took Marge to a cafe a few miles from town that night, and a tall skinny guy was playing the accordion. Never seen him (or an accordion) before, so he must be new. Anyhow, an elderly woman stayed near him all night long. At first glance, I felt sorry for her... her wrinkly body barely moving across the dance floor using a walker... I thought she'd never make it to the other side. But then I noticed something different. Her walker had wheels on it... so she wasn't walking at all... she was dancing. Suddenly, the same guy from the Blue Top motel emerged (aka: the most interesting guy in the world) and he began dancing with her. It was the sweetest, yet, strangest thing I've ever seen.
Who would've thought? Right here in Sunshine... the most interesting man in the world (drinking lone star, btw).
Wonder what he's doing today?
ps. it's shark week, so I'm watching Jaws 2. Lots of screaming... now I'm completely terrified... but mostly of those big ass phones they used to handle in the 70's.

Sunshine's kinda like one big mystery. Everybody talks about it, but no one can find us!
Better you on the dance floor than me, too. I don't think they could handle my kick.
Oooh, mystery in Sunshine!

Oooh, mystery in Sunshine! Lord, I hope I'm still boot-scooting, too, when I'm ancient! Of course, I'll probably still be dancing with strange men at the dance hall since Damien has two left feet. How is it that a man who looks so good in his wrangler's and boots is so rhythm-challenged? Sigh. Good thing the kids seem to be taking after me in that department!
