Timing
Wed, 06/16/2010 - 20:03

Everything in life depends on timing. It's hard to know, if at a certain present time, the timing is in fact — right on. I've had moments in the past where I thought that everything was perfect to move forward with LIS in a certain department, but it proved me wrong. Film life has its own cadence. And clearer than clear, it will let you know when the timing is Right.
However, I must say that this year feels awfully 'right on' for our movie. We've attached a really wonderful actor, Ross Partridge, (if you haven't heard me rave yet)! who I'm thrilled to have on our team. And we have a steady, tremendously talented crew of people waiting on us to say "action" in Austin. We've also been exploring all options for our female lead, Lyn, and are thankful for all the kind suggestions/feedback from all of you! We have a promising actress (which I'll get back with you more on, when I can) that we're deeply interested in... :)
In addition, we're working on the expansion of our show. We're creating super fun additions (next blog!) that will increase our movie's chances at success as a whole. Lorie's updating the business plan to reflect our current state of being, and everything else we're creating just feels so right. We look forward to sharing the details of our expansion in the next newsletter - July 6th, as well as our lead female status, so make sure you're signed up!
Right or wrong. On or off. Us filmmakers must push forward at all times, keeping the dream alive. We must not ever stop believing that what we are doing... all that we've done... at any time -- is irrelevant. Every step that has seemed 'wrong' or felt 'off' had its own 'right.' Perhaps it wasn't clear as the heartbreak was happening, but it will be clear in time. Count on it. And march the hell on, friends.
