On the road again

This spring we had a little hiccup. Our financing wasn't there to begin our April shoot, but our spirits, kick ass crew, and (some) pretty wonderful actors were hopeful. I can't tell you how much sweat goes into making these projects. Sometimes it feels like blood's actually being drawn. But there's a deeper gratification that comes with earning something you're so emotionally invested in. It's toe curling, really.  Once you feel the high of achieving something so challenging, like receiving the first check from an investor who believes in you, it's empowering, yet humbling. You know you can do it, and that's a good thing, 'cause now you have to do it all over again -- a bunch of times!!!

After a long month of revisiting our plan(s), shuffling around (smart) options, and piecing together what should and should not remain in our efforts, we're finally seeing a path take shape for LIS that's more definitive -- one that is both smart, ambitious, attainable, and freeing.

We will take a call with a production company this week who's dedicated to providing seed money for premier film properties. We probably wouldn't have landed the call if it weren't for a new friend/lucky referral who sees something special in us. She believes in what we're doing, and our message, as we believe in her — thank you!!

There are no (real) lucky breaks anymore. We're pervasive, viable, prepared, and looking forward to the right opportunity -- the right match. There may be some bumps along the way again,  and we'll definitely have to pull over and refuel on occasion, but you can bet your ass we'll be on the road again.

That's just the way we roll. We get on our happy pants, do a little happy dance, and start the engine.

Wishing you all the smoothest ride possible.

Jentri
