The Scouting Continues...

The last two days have been kinda beautiful in Austin. Perfect for a little LIS scouting.. and so we did. Ia suggested I check out this particular motel, which is now in my top two, for our Blue Top Motor Inn. Sound continues to be an ongoing question mark.. can we or can we not appease busy streets? What are our options?

Luckily, Iskra kindly referred me to some pretty great sound guys, one of which will be able to help me with determining these things after SXSW! Thank you, Martin!

Meanwhile, I continue to stumble upon magic with magnetic force. Our art director, Ia, is off the charts.. running around like a mad woman getting fabulous things accomplished. She's securing us sponsors/product for the film left and right. Our fab makeup/hair artist, Terri, has also hooked us up with a wonderful cosmetics company sponsor. I'm so completely thrilled that I can hardly stand it. Thanks, ladies!

And, I'm excited to get our storyboarding back in action with Ia and Iskra, as soon as I can solidify one of our BIG locations...SOON! VERY SOON! I am determined.. and with each new face that pops up to lend a friendly, helping hand, I'm so appreciative... you'll never know how much.

With regard to that magnetic force I just mentioned, a couple of days ago I drove up to what could potentially be Johnny's (Lyn's sidekick/best friend in LIS) house! My friend said she'd be thrilled to have us film there. Thank you, Bari!!! Here's a couple picks.. and seriously, it's GREEN, with overgrown grass and weeds!! That's soooooo Johnny Pott. ;)

Needless to say, it's been a productive week. Kinda stressful at times, (thanks Mercury in retrograde!) but I suppose you can't completely escape that when you're trying to make.. oh, ya know... a FEATURE FILM!!!

I'm loving every minute. Like I told my friend, Raz, my heart is full.
